Summit County, Colorado is
located in the heart of the Rocky Mountain ski area, two hours
from Denver's International Airport via Interstate 70, west
side of the Continental Divide, the county's 4 ski areas - Copper
Mountain, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin - take advantage of the
incredible snow. Each area has a wide variety of terrain that
can provide challenge to skiers at all levels of ability.
Copper, and Keystone have ski schools for beginners,
advanced skiers, or those wanting to improve their techniques,
a private lesson may be just what you are looking for. Vail
is over another pass, and only a half hour's drive. Breckenridge,
Copper, and Keystone all have snowmaking equipment in place,
and assures early season skiers that snow will be available
for their trips. For a great skiing vacation, The Lift is located
on Peak 9 Mountain, in the town of
World class ski area and resort with 2000 skiable
acres spread over four separate mountains and 70 miles of trails.
Free shuttle to the base area, town, and other ski areas- Copper,
Keystone and A-basin. has excellent dining, entertainment, and
shopping set in an historically preserved Victorian mining town.
It is a colorful, warm mountain community whose residents take
pride in their historic town and delight in sharing it with
their guests. Sleigh rides, ice skating at Maggie's Pond, or
touring the town in a horse drawn carriage are only part of
the enchantment of this unique village. Shuttle to gambling
in Central City, visit fine Night Clubs, boutiques, galleries,
restaurants, shops, or relax in a Hot Tub after a day of skiing.
